Peter Brown
Chairman of the Board
Chairman of the Board and a director of Canaccord Capital Inc. and Canaccord Capital Corporation. In 1968 he joined Hemsworth, Turton & Co., Ltd., which subsequently became known as Canaccord Capital Corporation.
Since 1968, Mr. Brown has been involved in the Canadian capital markets. Mr. Brown is currently a member of the board of directors of the IIROC- Industry Association and is a past member of the board and of the executive committee of the Investment Dealers Association. He is a past Chairman of the Board of the University of British Columbia, the Vancouver Stock Exchange, BC Place Corporation (crown corp) and BC Enterprise Corporation (crown corp). He was also the Vice Chairman of Expo '86 Corporation.
He is currently on the board of trustees for The Fraser Institute, a Canadian research organization. He is a past member of the Chief Executives Organization and the Young Presidents Organization. He is a former member of the board of governors of the Atlantic Institute for International Affairs, the CICA Accounting Research Advisory Board and the Council for Business and the Arts in Canada.
Mr. Brown is a past recipient of the BC Chamber of Commerce Businessman of the Year award. He was awarded the BC & Yukon Chamber of Mines Financier Award for 2000, the Ernst & Young Pacific Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2001 and in 2002 the Distinguished Service Award by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
In January 2003, Mr. Brown received a Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth recognizing his community service. In June 2003, he was awarded the Order of British Columbia recognizing his fundraising efforts for various charities and organizations in British Columbia as well as the vital role he has played in financing hundreds of British Columbia businesses.
In February 2004, Mr. Brown was named "Person of the Year" by the Brotherhood Inter-Faith Society of British Columbia. In 2005 Mr. Brown received an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of British Columbia and in 2007 he was named Distinguished Graduate by St. George's Private School. He is currently Lead Director nominated by the Government of Canada to the board of directors of the Vancouver Organizing Committee of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC). He is currently a Director of the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project Limited as well as PAVCO (both Crown Corporations).

Paul Reynolds was named as President of Canaccord Capital Inc. in August 2006, and CEO in August 2007. Mr. Reynolds has also been Vice Chair, Global Head of Canaccord Adams since April 2005. He is very active in investment banking operations and leads the firm from Canaccord's Vancouver, BC office.
Mr. Reynolds has over 20 years of experience in the securities industry beginning as a floor trader. He joined Canaccord Capital in 1985, working as an Investment Advisor in Vancouver. Mr. Reynolds specialized in financing emerging and developing companies in the resource, technology and biotechnology sectors.
Between 1999 and 2008, he managed Canaccord's London, England office as President and COO of European operations. Mr. Reynolds has been integral to the development of our business in Europe and a primary contributor to our successful position as an active participant in the European equity markets, specializing in small to medium-sized emerging companies.

Chief Operating Officer of Canaccord Capital Inc. and the President & Chief Operating Officer of Canaccord Capital Corporation. He joined Canaccord in 2001 and was responsible for its research activity. Before joining Canaccord, Mr. Maybank was an executive vice-president at a technology services and software development firm. Before that, he was a technology analyst with Yorkton Securities and chief financial officer of a US based cellular services company. Before that, he held various positions with a large multinational accounting and consulting firm. Mr. Maybank has earned both his Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator designations.

Brad Kotush, CA

Brad Kotush is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company. He is responsible for overseeing Canaccord's financial activities, administration, and operations.
Mr. Kotush joined Canaccord Capital in 1998 after having gained experience at KPMG and a local investment dealer, where he was Chief Financial Officer. Beginning as Vice President of Special Projects with Canaccord Capital, Mr. Kotush rapidly grew his contribution, serving as CFO and Corporate Secretary for Canaccord Capital Europe and Chief Information Officer and SVP Finance for Canaccord Capital Canada. A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Kotush received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.

Paul Chalmers
Executive Vice President
Paul Chalmers, who has overall responsibility for the international trading department, joined Canaccord in 1990. He has been active in the securities industry for more than 35 years and is a past seat holder of the Vancouver Stock Exchange and the Alberta Stock Exchange. Paul began his career in 1966 at the Toronto Stock Exchange and later became involved in institutional sales and trading. Prior to joining Canaccord, he was chairman and founder of Canadian International Securities, a Vancouver-based securities firm. He was also the chairman of Merit Investment Corporation for nine years.

Paul DiPasquale
Executive Vice President, Branch Manager
Paul DiPasquale joined Canaccord Capital in November 1998, with the acquisition of Brink, Hudson & Lefever Ltd. He is responsible for Canaccord's Vancouver Bentall office and is a member of the Executive Committee.
Mr. DiPasquale began his career in the investment industry in 1969 with Richardson Securities. Over the past 30 years he has held senior roles with Walwyn Stodgell, Haywood Securities, Yorkton Securities, Continental Securities and Gardiner Watson. Most recently, Mr. DiPasquale served as Senior Vice President and Director of Brink, Hudson & Lefever Ltd. and from 1984-1991 was a member of the Executive Committee and a Governor of the Vancouver Stock Exchange.

Matthew Gaasenbeek, MBA
Executive Vice President and Managing Director - Head of Capital Markets - North America
Matthew Gaasenbeek has over 15 years experience in the securities and financial services business. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Managing Director - Head of Capital Markets- North America and has been instrumental in building the Global Capital Markets team, where he has been involved in over 700 transactions for the gross proceeds in excess of $5 billion.
Prior to joining Canaccord, Mr. Gaasenbeek was a senior consultant at PriceWaterhouse in its Strategic Management Services Group, with a focus on valuations and corporate restructurings. He also gained sales experience during two years with Xerox Corporation.
Mr. Gaasenbeek holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, and has completed Masters-level business courses at Waseda University in Tokyo.

Timothy Hoare

Timothy Hoare is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the UK operations of Canaccord Adams Limited.
Mr. Hoare began his career in the securities industry when he joined Laing & Cruikshank, a London-based investment dealer, in 1975 as a mining analyst. He became a partner of that firm in 1979. In 1988 the firm was acquired by Credit Lyonnais and Mr. Hoare became a director of Credit Lyonnais Laing International in 1990. In 1993, Mr. Hoare established T. Hoare & Co. Limited, an investment dealer based in London, England which focused on research and institutional accounts and specialized in financing companies in the international resource sector. Canaccord acquired a minority interest in T. Hoare & Co. Limited in 1993 and through a series of corporate reorganizations it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canaccord Capital Inc. in 1999 and now operates as Canaccord Adams Limited.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hoare has been an active participant in the mining finance sector. He has arranged financings for resource companies around the world including intermediate producers and companies with properties at the exploration and development stage as well as international oil and gas companies.

Andrew Jappy
Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Andrew Jappy joined Canaccord Capital in 1996, and is currently responsible for all aspects of information technology and systems and is actively involved in managing the International Trading department.
Prior, Mr. Jappy was an executive at TCAM Systems, a trading and settlement software firm based in New York. He is currently a member of the Regulatory Services Advisory Committee, TSX Advisory Trading Committee, Industry Committee on Trade Reporting and Electronic Audit Trail Standards and the Vancouver Stock Traders Association. Mr. Jappy is a past member of the Security Traders Associations' Trading Issues Committee.

Bruce Maranda, CA, CFE, FMA, FCSI
Executive Vice President Global Compliance & Chief Compliance Officer
As head of Global Compliance, Bruce Maranda is responsible for overseeing Canaccord's compliance, registration and continuing education departments.
Before joining Canaccord in 2001 as Vice President, Compliance, Mr. Maranda held positions with Price Waterhouse, Revenue Canada Taxation, and the Auditor General of Canada. At the Vancouver Stock Exchange, he served in compliance and enforcement, and as Director of Member Regulation at the Investment Dealers Association he was responsible for registration, compliance, investigations, and enforcement.
Mr. Maranda received his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from UBC. He has continued to gather credentials as a Chartered Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Financial Management Advisor, and has received the designation of Fellowship from the Canadian Securities Institute.

Jens Mayer
Executive Vice President, Head of Investment Banking
Jens Mayer joined Canaccord in 2000. Based in Canaccord's Toronto office, Mr. Mayer is responsible for Canaccord's investment banking activity. Prior to joining Canaccord, Mr. Mayer was a vice-president or director on the mining teams at Yorkton Securities, Bunting Warburg and Gordon Capital. Prior to entering the area of investment banking, he worked as a consultant with Derry, Michener, Booth & Wahl, a geological and mining consulting firm.
Mr. Mayer has helped finance and provided advisory services to a number of major mining companies as well as many intermediate producers and mining companies in the exploration and development stage.

John D. Rothwell

John D. Rothwell is Executive Vice President and Head of Private Client Services. John has over 30 years of financial services experience, having begun his career with Midland Walwyn Capital in 1977.
He served Midland as Ontario Sales Manager (1984), National Sales Manager (1989) and EVP/Executive Committee member (1993). Subsequently, he held roles with Mackenzie Financial, as EVP in sales and distribution, and as Managing Director and EVP with Fidelity Investments. He joined Wellington West as EVP and Partner in 2003. In 2005, he was promoted to President, focused on recruitment, branch building and revenue growth.
John holds an Honours Bachelors degree from the University of Waterloo, as well as diplomas from McGill University, The Wharton School and Harvard University.

Peter Virvilis
Executive Vice President, Operations & Treasurer
Peter Virvilis joined Canaccord Capital in September 1987, and is responsible for overseeing much of the firm's back office services and administration as well as managing treasury-related activities.
Currently, he serves as a director of the Canadian Depository for Securities, a member of the CDS Executive Committee, and a member of the Strategic Development Review Committee of the CDS. Mr. Virvilis is also a past chairman and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the IIROC Financial Administrators Section, and the FAS Operations Sub-committee.
Prior to joining Canaccord, Mr. Virvilis was the Assistant Treasurer for Expo '86 Corporation from 1985-1987. He is past Chair of the CDS/West Canada Integration Committee, the CDS Western Development Committee and the West Canada Redevelopment Committee.
Mr. Virvilis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1983.
