My clients are business owners, professionals and retirees. As the years have gone by many have moved to very conservative investing while others continue with active stock trading.
With over 20 years in the investment industry, I have a wide range of experience which enables me to evaluate a client's goals and portfolio from an informed perspective.
I entered the investment industry in 1983. For much of that time I have taught investment courses in the night school programs for school boards throughout the Lower Mainland. I occasionally do speaking engagements for local groups on topics related to the financial markets.
Although I grew up in the East, I have lived in British Columbia since 1976 and in the Fraser Valley since 1993. Outside of work, I stay active through Pilates and horseback riding. I am a member of Soroptimists of the Langleys, the Langley Lions Club and the Valley Women's Network.
I maintain good communication with my clients as to their concerns and priorities regarding their finances. Calls are returned by the next business day if not sooner. Client meetings can be scheduled on evenings and weekends if regular office hours are not convenient. I will be available to advise clients in times of financial turmoil such as divorce or a death in the family. Over the years I have assisted several clients with divorce and estate settlements, helping them to build a reliable income stream and to understand the investment process.
I prefer to have at least one meeting with a new client before making any investment suggestions or recommendations. It is important that I understand client needs and expectations and that the client understands the risks and rewards involved in each investment choice I recommend. Questions from clients are always welcomed.
